Capitol Quarter represents a national model for mixed-income development and successful public-private partnership, featuring 322 homes across five city blocks in the heart of Navy Yard. Delivered between 2009 and 2012 as part of the Arthur Capper Carrollsburg public housing redevelopment, this DC Housing Authority and EYA partnership includes affordable rental homes, workforce housing for purchase, and market-rate townhomes, creating an economically diverse community. The LEED for Homes certified townhomes feature garage parking, up to four bedrooms, contemporary finishes, modern kitchens, and private outdoor spaces. Capitol Quarter spans the area bounded by Virginia Avenue to the north, 5th Street to the east, 3rd Street to the west, and L Street to the south. The development provides homeowners with walkable access to Navy Yard Metro Green Line, Harris Teeter, Whole Foods, Canal Park, Nationals Park, and the neighborhood's diverse amenities.
