The Yards Island Cinema: 50 First Dates
Before summer ends, The Yards waterfront will become an open-air cinema for Island Cinema, a tropical-inspired outdoor movie series bringing big-screen favorites, waterfront views, and island vibes to The Sundeck.
Join us for a series of laid-back summer evenings featuring tropical-themed films, island-inspired décor, food and beverage specials from participating restaurants, and fun activations. Grab your friends, bring a blanket or lawn chair, and settle in as the sun goes down and the movie lights up the waterfront.
Before the movie: Arrive early to enjoy tropical-themed activations, explore The Yards, and grab food and drinks from the Yards restaurants.
During the movie: Get comfortable on The Sundeck and enjoy the film under the stars.
What to bring: Blankets and lawn chairs are encouraged! Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Lace up your running shoes and get ready for an unforgettable evening at Yards Park on the Boardwalk! Join friends, family, neighbors, and fellow runners for a fun-filled community 5K and summer send-off.
Arrive at 5:00 PM to grab exclusive swag and connect with the community before the all-ages 5K Fun Run kicks off at 5:30 PM, led by the experts from Pacers Running. Enjoy a scenic route along the Anacostia River, across the iconic Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge, through Anacostia Park, and back over the 11th Street Bridge to Yards Park.
The best part? The fun doesn't stop at the finish line. Stick around for a live concert and celebrate the end of summer with great music and great company.

The Half Street Central Farmers Market is a vibrant outdoor market in Navy Yard featuring over 30 local vendors offering fresh produce, baked goods, prepared foods, and artisanal products. Held every Saturday from spring through fall, it combines shopping with a lively community atmosphere, including live music, chef demos, and family-friendly activities just steps from Nationals Park.
The Stacks: Eat Loco Farmers Market ft. Taylor's Produce
Shop local with Taylor's Produce. This summer we welcome the community to come by The Stacks every Wednesday from 4pm - 7pm to stock up on summer produce, meats and flowers. This is the perfect weekly pop up to ensure all your fruits and veggies are as fresh as can be. Featuring corn, tomatoes, squash, peaches, peppers, watermelon and more! Additional vendors will vary each week. The Market will be held in the Corso. Open to the public and the community. No sign-up required just come enjoy!
