The Capitol City Circus School teaches individuals the magic of circus arts! From soaring through the air on the flying trapeze to planting your feet on solid ground while juggling and everything in between - the sky is literally the limit here.

Van Ness Elementary School opened its doors in the Navy Yard to Pre-K 3, Pre-K 4, and Kindergarten students in fall 2015 with renovations on the building continuing during the school year. The school will continue to expand by one grade each year until the 5th grade. By the start of the 2016-2017 school year, the third floor classrooms, cafeteria, music/art/library/media center will be completed.

Explore naval history at the free National Museum of the United States Navy. The museum, which is located on the Washington Navy Yard has exhibits and programs for the whole family. View changing exhibits, ship models, navy guns, art, and other artifacts. The museum also offers guided tours year-round.
