Nationals Park
Play ball! The 41,888-seat Nationals Park, located along the Anacostia River, is home to the Washington Nationals Baseball Club and includes a number of exciting fan amenities including luxury suites, club level seating, restaurant/sport bar, picnic area, family plaza, public art and more. When it opened in 2008 it was the first LEED certified stadium in the country. The ballpark has been averaging over 2.25 million visitors per year. The Yards Marina
Nestled between the Navy Yards and Nationals Stadium, The Yards Marina is the water gateway for The Navy Yard. The marina has 52 wet slips, a day dock, and a kayak/recreation pier. Slips are sized from 40 feet to 60 feet. There is linear space and T-heads for vessels over 60 feet. For annual and season reservations please contact the marina office at 202-484-0309. Starting from a 400 square foot gas station pizza emporium, Wise guy owner Nuri has grown his company into 4 restaurants around the DMV area. Serving up pizza by the slice – fast – is what Wiseguy Pizza is known for, but whole pies are available too (just be sure to give them up to an hour during peak times). Slices are cut from their Whole Pies, and at 18" they're 65% bigger than a run of the mill large pizza.

Anacostia Community Boathouse
The Anacostia Community Boathouse Association (ACBA) is dedicated to fostering safe and environmentally responsible recreation on the Anacostia River by maintaining a community boathouse located at 1900 M Street, SE in Washington, DC.
Founded on a vigorous spirit of volunteerism, the Anacostia Community Boathouse Association has been an integral part of the growth of Washington’s rowing and paddling community—while working to create a premier center for rowing and paddling training and competition. ACBA members have been actively living the District’s Anacostia Waterfront Initiative for nearly two decades: Through many years of hard work and dedication, ACBA’s members have transformed an underutilized facility into a thriving rowing and paddlesport center.

Anacostia Riverwalk Trail
A continuous 20-mile trail on both sides of the Anacostia River, the Riverwalk Trail System is a new recreational amenity and transportation alternative. The 10-12 foot wide trail is designed for a wide range of users-from cyclists to runner and skaters to walkers-and also provides seating, system maps, bike racks, and interactive maps. To date, 12 of the ultimate 20 miles of the Riverwalk Trail are open and heavily used.

Bark and Go Dog Park
This previously underused area at the corner of New Jersey Ave and H Street SE has been transformed into a 3,000 square foot fenced-in dog park for the Navy Yard neighborhood. While your pets play around the park, take a seat on one of the park benches and enjoy the views of “Shidahiku”, the new Anthony Howe kinetic sculpture that has been installed.

Canal Park
Canal Park is a 3 acre neighborhood-centric park that opened in 2012 as a model of sustainable design for an outdoor space. The park is home to seasonal events, dancing fountains in the warmer months, and ice skating in the winter.

Diamond Teague Park
Diamond Teague Park is a new 39,000 SF public plaza with water taxi and public piers at the terminus of First Street at the Anacostia River across from Nationals Park.
Half of the landscaped park was completed in 2009 with the remainder of the public plaza to be completed when Florida Rock Properties' adjacent development, RiverFront on the Anacostia is completed. The water taxi piers and public piers for canoes and kayacks have been completed. Water taxi charter service is available during Nationals home games from Diamond Teague Park.

Emblem Park
Emblem Park is a new neighborhood park that opened in November 2025, providing a welcoming green space and community gathering place for residents and visitors alike.
The park features a robust assortment of landscaping and incorporates portal stones from the historic CSX railway that once served the neighborhood. These reclaimed stones have been thoughtfully repurposed as seating and natural barriers for many of the park’s plantings, blending local history with contemporary design.
Special thanks to Complete Landscaping, Horn & Co., Barracks Row Main Street, and the Emblem Condominium residents for their partnership and support in bringing this new park to life.

The Yards Park
The Yards Park, a premier 5.4-acre waterfront destination in the heart of Navy Yard, provides green space and water features for all to enjoy the outdoors along the Anacostia River. Tingey Plaza
Tingey Square sits at the convergence of The Yards development, Nationals Park, Yards Park and the Anacostia River, and Canal Park, serving as a central node for pedestrian activity and neighborhood connection.
Designed as an active yet flexible public space, the plaza offers light seating and gathering areas that support daily use and casual interaction. Looking ahead, Tingey Square is envisioned to evolve into a vibrant convening space and neighborhood gateway, functioning as both a community hub and a key wayfinding node that helps orient visitors and residents alike.
Just across the street, Tingey Plaza serves as a temporary events space supported by the Navy Yard Parks Foundation, providing an additional community gathering place for a variety of public programs, including holiday markets, food festivals, and other community-focused activations.

Van Ness Elementary School opened its doors in the Navy Yard to Pre-K 3, Pre-K 4, and Kindergarten students in fall 2015 with renovations on the building continuing during the school year. The school will continue to expand by one grade each year until the 5th grade. By the start of the 2016-2017 school year, the third floor classrooms, cafeteria, music/art/library/media center will be completed.

Walking Museum of Transportation
