Game days in Navy Yard feel like a neighborhood block party—whether you’re headed to Nationals Park or Audi Field, you can make a whole day of eating, walking the riverfront, and bar‑hopping with other fans.

Ease in with coffee and a walk

Start at Bethesda Bagels or Gregory's Coffee near Navy Yard–Ballpark Metro, grab a bagel or pastry, and wander down to Yards Park to wake up with river views and dog watching on the boardwalk.

Stroll past the waterfront spots like The Salt Line and All-Purpose on the river so you can mentally bookmark where you want to end up pre- or post-game later.

Chill lunch in Navy Yard

For a sit‑down lunch, Chloe and Albi bring a slightly more refined vibe (think creative Mediterranean and Levantine plates) if you want something nicer before switching into fan mode.

If you’d rather keep it casual, Emmy Squared and All-Purpose both do excellent pizza, while La Famosa gives you Puerto Rican comfort food steps from the water.

Pre-game drinks and snacks

As game time gets closer, Half Street turns into the unofficial pre‑game runway—Tap99 (pour‑your‑own wall of taps) and Walter’s are perfect for beers and bar food right in the shadow of the ballpark.

Down by the water, The Salt Line and Bluejacket are classics for pre-game oysters, lobster rolls, burgers, and great beer; Agua 301 is your move if you want tacos, margaritas, and a Yards Park view.

Heading to Nationals Park or Audi Field

For Nationals Park, you’re basically there already—most of these spots are a 5–10 minute walk to the gates, and you can linger on patios until just before first pitch.

For Audi Field, finish your food and drinks around Navy Yard, then walk 15–20 minutes along the river and through Buzzard Point; it’s an easy, mostly flat walk and you’ll see plenty of black‑and‑red scarves headed the same way.

Post-game nightcap

After the final whistle or last out, let the crowd thin around the stadium and wander back toward Navy Yard for a nightcap—Takoda’s rooftop is great for groups and city views, while Bluejacket or The Salt Line are ideal if you want one more drink and something salty.

If you’ve still got energy, Tap99 and the bars along Half Street usually stay lively after games, so you can debrief every bad call and highlight play before hopping on Metro or grabbing a rideshare home.
