A Navy Yard bar and food crawl is basically adult recess: you can bounce between rooftops, breweries, patios, and late-night spots without ever getting in a car.

Stop 1: Easy start near the river

  • Kick things off at La Famosa for Puerto Rican bites and a cocktail on the plaza, or grab a glass of wine and some snacks at Osteria Morini overlooking the water to ease into the night.

  • If you want something that leans even more into the waterfront vibes, The Salt Line is perfect for a first round of oysters, crudo, and beer before you dive into louder bars.

Stop 2: Breweries and beer gardens

  • Wander over to Bluejacket for house-brewed beer and elevated bar food in a big, industrial space that works well for groups.

  • From there, head to Dacha Beer Garden or The Brig (just up 8th) for steins, pretzels, and outdoor tables—great “middle of the crawl” energy where people can arrive late or peel off early. For even more craft beer, don’t miss the Solace Outpost.

Stop 3: Half Street sports-bar energy

  • Make your way to Half Street and slide into Tap99, the self-pour beer and cocktail spot where everyone can sample their way down the tap wall and share pizzas and snacks.

  • A few doors away, Walters Sports Bar, Tom’s Watch Bar, and Problem Child give you classic sports-bar and burger vibes with big screens and easy-to-share food—ideal if there’s a game on.

Stop 4: Big party bars

  • Once the night is rolling, Mission Navy Yard is the high-energy, multi-room bar where you’ll find big groups, margarita pitchers, and a ton of excitement.

  • If you want something more pool-party-adjacent, Royal Sands Social Club brings beach-bar energy with frozen drinks, bright interiors, and a “we’re definitely not doing just one round” feel.

Stop 5: Rooftops and late bites

  • Finish at TAKODA’s rooftop beer garden for skyline views and a last drink, or loop back toward the river for a quieter final stop if the group is winding down.

  • On your way home, grab a slice from Wiseguy Pizza or a chicken sandwich from Swizzlers or a to soak up the night before you hit Metro or a rideshare and head home.
